Adding a Vendor

The Add a Vendor and Contact form allows you to enter basic vendor information (the Business name and type) along with one vendor contact.  
You can then keep working on other tasks or complete the Vendor record in greater detail (adding address details, bank information, et cetera.)  

Note: 
Vendor Type is your list to customize in the Look Up Code table. You can also add new vendor types "on the fly."  

The Switchboard Menu filters the vendor list by vendor type.

On the Reports Form, many reports can be filtered by vendor type. 

Therefore, you want to be careful and consistent about creating vendor types.  

For example, assigning school, university and college may make reporting or filtering more cumbersome. Deciding that all are "schools" might be a better practice.
