Modify Room Inventory

Over the life of a tour you may need to adjust room inventory.

Change Arrival and Departure dates:

Click the Manage Room Inventory button. You may modify the arrival date, departure date, or both. ViaTour will also modify the associated service.

Increasing Room Inventory: To add rooms to existing inventory, you must use the "Setup Room Inventory" button. Although the Room Inventory form will allow users to add rooms "on the fly" by adding data to new rows, those rows will not appear correctly on reports such as rooming lists.

Delete Room Inventory: To delete unneeded rooms -- to indicate that a room block has been reduced, for example -- select the rows within the Room Inventory, and hit delete. You cannot undo this action. Remember to modify associated service notes.

Fixing Errors, Starting Over: Setting up room inventory for the first time may not yield the results you want. If you delete all room rows as described above, and click the "Rebuild Tabs" button, the entire room inventory tab will disappear. The related service still exists in the tour, however, and you can recreate the room inventory.
