Creating a PDF of a Report
Unlike Word documents, PDFs are difficult to edit and therefore are a handy way of storing a snapshot of your data at a particular moment in time.
You can purchase Adobe PDF creator for around $200, or download free PDF create software from the web.
Free software does not have all the same features as the Adobe software, where users may add comments, make notes and highlight and create bookmarks, etcetera. What you decide to get will depend on your needs.
Once the software is installed follow these steps:
1. Run the report and from the preview window, open the file menu.
2. Select Print.
3. In the print Menu box select "Adobe PDF" or "your Free PDF Maker" from the printer options.
4. The next window will ask you to name the file and provide the location where you will be saving it.
5. Once the printing is complete you can close out of the report and open the pdf. With Adobe software one of your print options is to have the PDF open immediately in Adobe reader.
